help with finding ark summon in ff9

i need help finding ark can anyone help me?

Ok, first, go to Memoria. Continue through the area until you reach what looks like an underwaters section (its called Memoria-Birth on the menu screen). Go around to the right side, behind the coral, and press the X button. You'll hear someone talking. Keep pressing X and you'll be thrown in a battle vs. Hades. Defeat him, and he'll become a synthesist. Then, bring him two (2) Pumice Pieces, and for the fee of 50000gil, he'll forge you a Pumice. Equip the Pumice on Garnet to learn Ark.

It isn't very good. The only reason to have it is just for the sake of having it. Pumice Pieces used individually as accessories are better. Just get Ultima Weapon and Excalibur (or Excalibur 2 if you're up to the challenge).

reach memoria in under 12 hours...thats 4 discs and end game in under 12 hours and seeing how thers compulsary ATE's, lotsa fmvs its mashing the x button for anyone who tries. And the sword isnt even that much better, its just for perfectionists, i made it in like 11:45 after getting pwned by hades for the duration of that 45mins finally spanking him and nabbing teh sword.

i heard you could skip the FMV's by opening then closing the lid although i haven't tried it personally

Yeah, there are some battles in that game i wouldnt wanna do at a very low level...

true, but like I said before. after you get Zidane's ultima weapon, and the normal Excalibur or Ragnarok for Steiner you really don't need it.

Yeah, plus, it doesnt even teach Shock. Only Stock break/climhazzard.

the "save the queen" sword was in FF9 wasn't it?

Yeah. It was the sword Beatrix used. You could forge it at Hades for a Silver Gloves and a Javelin, i think.

It was essentially useless though, since Steiner couldnt equip it.

Beatrix is the ONLY one to equip it. So, for you, its essentially useless.

hmm... the only reason to make one is to have Amarant throw it I guess. I'm sure it does a lot of damage.

save the queen gives an alternate ending yes, it is a key item of the parties. But it used Cinnas hammer which also gives the same altered ending, so either way if you go to the trouble of getting the hammer then you get a diff ending.

Key item? Save the queen aint a key item, unless you mean something else...

no i mean key item as in you cant use it for anything really besides plot related. A bit like the tiara and crap in FF7, yu can use it for like 1 thing but other then that its pointless.

yes i know what its used for, and that there are 2 differet kinda with 4 diff dresses, 3 diff medicines and 2 wigs with 2 perfumes i think. I was merely using it as an example.

button clicky thingie? thats about as useful as a bullet in the face for resurecting a person.

and no thats the only way you get him. You get to see him however in Oilevert in airship mode but yeah only by pumice since he is supposed to be the most powerful.

Which then begs the question if all the other eidolons power were raised when you got duplicates of their stones would that then make them at say 99 Garnets Bahamut would be the most powerful since 99 > 1 and bahamu is questionably the 2nd best (next to alexander)?

well finding the sky garden at first is a pain in the ass, and he may not have gotten into chocobo hot and cold.

you have to do most of the chocograph sidequest to get to Ozma. He's in the 3rd Chocograph field... it's a floating island, I can't remember what it's called. You'll have to find all of the Chocographs in the forest and in the lagoon, and you'll need a gold chocobo to get there.

Ozma is a pain in the ass if you haven't done the friendly monster sidequest. If you haven't done it, you can't physically attack him. The only things you can do is magic, summons, and Amarant's throw.

ehem *points above* Chocobo Sky Garden you need to find pieces of chocographs in the field, and lagoon after attaining the upgrades. Then you get all 6?9? pieces and form a chocograph IIEEEE

oh... do you have to get the chocograph pieces too? It's been about 3 years since I've done it...

yeah the chocograph pieces point the way since the sky garden appears in about 6 different places, it moves so each piece points the way to each place.

It always showed up on the western continent for me... it was rarely somewhere else.
