you do realize most animes are not rated,, and when they are they have the 17+ rating which is usally way off of what it should be, the only time an anime is rated in the american system is when it was released in american theaters *ie: Cowboy bebop rated R which is way off*

oh yes and another reason me = non american, petition = american so me = not affected by that petition. So it is my civic duty as a citizen of Australia to point and laugh at whatever i see fit.

And actually CB has Constant violence, Adult themes and low level coarse language, so unless its edited then for mainstream distribution a 15+ or R rating is needed.

And you cant really declare yourself a true Otaku, because there is no such thing as a true otaku.

Id choose to watch an anime over doing anything else, and as the otaku that I am I would sign the petiton without giving it a second thought even if I did not live in america, mostly because I belive anime should be free for anyone to watch...unlike J00 wh0 7h1|\||<5 w3 |\|33d y0ur P17y :p

These are people in american culture who watch anime all the time. They buy ever peice of anime style cloathing that they can get their freaky hands on. They stay at home, surfing the net, only socialising with people over message boards, and very rarely at cons, or conventions. They enjoy staying up late to watch that gundam episode for the 45th time.

One who obsesses about something or someone to an unhealthy extent, sacraficing most, if not all, of their social life.

yes I have no social life, but that is because I choose not to have one, mainly cuss everyone in the state of maryland sucks
with exception of a few people. So I will declare myself what I want and it dosnt realy matter what you think :p

But as stated beforehand do you honestly think this petition is going to mean something other them a complete and utter waste of time in an attempt for 2 people taking opposite sides to scrounge up as much force as they can to measure the size of their gentials? Online surverys result to no action being taken because companies, unless running it themselves disregard them as pure fabrications, let alone there being actually any value in it when it is quite simple to use multiple emails to sign up hence falisfying the validity of the argument put forth.

Of course if you so wish to keep up this charade by all means do so, i did not intend to step on anyones ego or pride here and if i have i sincerely apologise for it, but have only one last thing to say regarding the matter, that being it isnt a measure of how much you own or how much you spend, or how long you watch for. You want a true otaku go look in the mirror and hoenstly tell yourself you are without any doubts, not one of you nor me should be able to do that without lieing.
