This is a rhetorical question people. Who all out there knows the history of Final Fantasy? And no, I don't mean the succession of all the games, I mean how the whole thing got started.

A long time ago, toward the end of the 1980s, a company by the name of Squaresoft was going bankrupt, yes people you heard me correct, bankrupt. All of their games prior to the release of Final Fantasy stunk, stunk so bad, i'm not even going to name the games because quite frankly, they're not worth me wasting my time to name them. Squaresoft was going bankrupt, and Final Fantasy was their last idea before the present day behemoth of a video game developer/publisher of all the RPGs that we have come to love, went under. To much of everyone surprise, especially the president of Squaresoft, not to mention the now world famous, Sakaguchi, story teller of these epic games, Final Fantasy was a huge hit, and gave the company the shot in the arm that they so desperately needed. Now, I know you all may have been expecting more...but to be honest, that is all. The true version of history is actually a lot less grueling than the rumors that some of you may have heard.

This post may not mean anything to some of you, but to me, it does. After researching and learning about how all these games got started, I acquired a true respect for these games. Because, to be honest, without these games...well, games now a days just wouldn't be of the same caliber that they are. I mean if it weren't for the Final Fantasy series, how many games would be as in depth with detail? Be honest with yourself. How many games would have as epic of stories? It's a proven fact that when something new is created, other creations that have been, well...created are used as templates. Find that hard to believe? Take sports games for example. Look at 989 studios and Electronic Arts, they've been looking at how each other have been designing their games for years now, and trying to figure how they can improve off of a similar system, or avoid making the same mistake. All games are related to one another, and I honestly believe that Squaresoft has a lot to do with how today's games are created. You can believe what i'm saying, or think i'm full of it, the choice is yours. But I respect Squaresoft, and will not hesitate to tell anyone that should I ever come across a post that is bashing any of their creations. You have been warned, lol.

If any of you have anything to add to this post, feel free to post it. You don't have to get my permission, and I won't use any additional information. Heck, I may even learn something. I hope you all learned something that you didn't know about the company before.
