Excel saga is a great anime. Its strange and random and funny. Yeah, anyone seen it?

HECK YEAH, I've seen it. My brother owns the whole series!!! It's cool, and I love the opening. And then menchi's sad song as the ending (was there two endings? Can't remember)

If you like major randomness, and weird situations. ALL HAIL LORD ILLPALAZZO!! (did I spell that right?) I love Hyatt, its funny how she dies at the worst possible times. I dunno if you should get this as your first anime, but if you seriously do like randomness.... sure, after you've had your taste of other types.

Hahaha....FLCL....weelllll.... .I don't really know the whole point to that (though haven't really see all too many episodes, sorry to a person I know). And Excel Saga...it's whole point is the domination of the city, then the world. Though I have to say, it's never successful. Sooo....as far as I can say....each episode if Excel Saga has a new plot, in some ways I guess...
That's the best I can answer the question, though I've made it even more confuzing...never ask meh a question like this, I never know the right answer...

not realy, FLCL is more random in my opinion, at least excel saga has more then 6 episodes, and trance I can let you barrow the second and third DVD for FLCL if you want

Flcl and Excel saga to me are about as good. Excel saga is MUCH more random. At least FLCL makes sence.

Actually.....Excel Saga does make sense...thats if you have a messed up mind like me...and it does have a plot, but they can never dominate

and the fact that they take the piss out of thinking byt walking to the screen, yelling their lungs out while theres crucial storyline info in the background ARRRG DAMN EXCEL!!!

but yes it seems to be a very good anime, i wouldnt compare it to FlCl though just take it as a stand alone comedic series.

Very true. FLCL is a bit better, but Excel Saga is still good. I want furi kuri mangas!

*giggles* Yeah, I loved Excel Saga... It was completely random and didn't make much sense... but its not supposed to. I loved the constant parodies of other animes and the very... strange... puns. It helps that ADV put those linear note things on the DVD, or I would've missed half of the jokes...

Oh, yeah, being the obsessive Sailor Moon fan that I am, I was ecstatic about Excel's VA... (The japanese one, I mean. The english one was just plain annoying...)
