"Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls! It is time for the opening fight of the tournament."

Hiren (hiren)

VS

Devon (hadazamui)

The Arena: A coloseum. The surrounding walls are filled with wooden seats, most of them are filled with spectators. The ground nearest the walls are a reddish earthtone, made from hardened clay. Various spikes and traps have been set up for this event in the outer ground. The inner ground where the fighters will start, is filled with white stones, some covered in blood. 6 white marble pillars surround the inner ground, the bottoms lined with the blood of previous fighters. Various weapons have been layed about the outer floor from battles
before.

(OOC: I would just like to wish Hadazamui good luck in our fight. :OOC)

In the noises of moving people trying to reach their seats, which was actually quite immense as their numbers ranged somewhere in the thousands, the arena stood alone. A pearly white, it shone brilliantly in the magnificent rays of sunlight that beamed down onto it. The six pillars, coming to points at the top looked something short of majestic, as the various blood stains on the arena floor only gave startling accentuation to the pearl white which surrounded them.

Where it was once calm, quiet, a harsh wind suddenly picked up, a small tornado of what looked like spiraling sand grains suddenly could be seen at one end of the arena, between two of the massive pillars. While, at first glance, it seemed to be nothing. Stray dust blown by the sudden breeze. However, for those who watched a few seconds more, they were met with a site of true marvel. Like tiny pieces to an immense puzzle the grains fo sand began to join together Interlocking in perfect formation until a hand could be seen, appearing to be reaching out form the emptiness of the spiraling twister. Soon, a leg followed, clad in black pants.

Moments passed, and the people gradually began to realize the first fighter was beginning to make his entrance. The arena was filled with the deafening roar of cheering spectators as the rest of the immortal warrior known as Hiren pieced together before there eyes. Finally the wind died down, and the dust was no more. Every grain of sand it hand contained had come together to form the man that stood before them all now. They cheered, unimaginable excitement for the match to come stirring them.

Golden blonde hair sparkled brilliantly in the sunlight, giving contest to the pearly arena. Hiren stood at ease, his arms hanging loosely at his sides. Over his right shoulder, the bronze hilt of the death Angel Sword gleamed dully in the rays of light. Behind him, the Twin reaper Kamas resided in their sheath of raven black, blending with his shirt and pants perfectly; while the dark purple cloth belt offset it.

Haunting eyes of sparkling silver glanced around the arena, with no pupil, they were truly displacing to the fool who tried to meet his gaze. He did not appear to notice the roaring crowd at all, as he watched for any signs of his opponent. Silently, his mind worked over various patterns that formed complex spells he might use against the man who was pitted against him. He would not be pulling any punches, whether the fool who signed up for this tournament was new to fighting or not. As he was new here, the people did not truly know him. By the time this tournament was over, they would....

((OOC Good luck to you as well))

Waiting for his opponent to enter the coloseum, Devon sat in the bleachers waiting paitiently. He listened to the crouds rustling about, making loud annoying noises. Then all of a sudden, silence. Pure silence. Devon was happy. He sat back in the stands waiting for his opponent, listening to silence. First a gong broke the silence, then a loud rustling followed. Devon looked up to see what the commotion was about, only to see a dust storm. "Great, a big fight and it storms. What luck." Devon lit up a cigarette, acting like he was not even fighting today.

Out of the twister, to much surprise, came out a man. Finally his opponent showed up, and he looked tough, Devon thought. He took one last drag off his cigarette, stood up,and grabbed his giant rusted scissors. He strapped the mammoth object to his back. He put his thumbs and index fingers together, while stretching out the rest. At first it appeared he was praying, but then as quick as Hiran appeared, Devon dissapeared.

Much of the audience shut up, confused and wondering where Devon went. Then they noticed all the shadows from the pillars, the stands, and even Hiran all went to a single point. Every shadow in the stadium went to this point as if it was a vaccum. The shadows created a flood of darkness all flowing as if they were water. Soon the entire arena was covered in darkness. Out of the middle of the flood where all the shadows flowed to, came Devon. He came up from the ground as if he was on an elevator. The shadows appeared to blend in with the cowboy, continuosly flowing into him, seemingly increasing his power. "Shall we get this started?" Devon said.

(OOC: I look forward to see how this fight plays out. You seem to be rather skilled XD :OOC)

Haunting eyes of silver watched placidly as the entire arena gradually became enshrouded in a deep shadow. What was one glistening with beauty, was not a little dark and eerie. As he had made his entrance into the arena Hiren had not thought his opponent was already there. The again, he had never faced this man named Devon before, and had no idea as to what his power felt like. Looking at him now, Hiren had to admit the man appeared to be at least a small challenge. Perhaps this battle would be more exciting than he expected.

He gave no reaction as to Devon’s choice of weapons, though he thought the scissors some kind of joke. He himself would never be caught using something so childish. However the daggers he was carrying were truly a site of beauty. He had not seen daggers of such fine make in an extremely long time. Over two-thousand years to be a little more exact.

The shadows that had grew across the arena had dispersed now, leaving only the natural shadows of all material things in their wake. The arena once again took on its luscious beauty. In a way, the pearly arena could serve as a danger, as the glare it gave off could bind a man if he looked at the right angel. Truly a danger. He would have to be cautious.

A harsh gust of wind swept across the arena just mere moments after Devon spoke, announcing that they should get the fight underway. Hiren’s hair fluttering in simple elegance, disturbed by the wind, he merely nodded in answer. As if they had been awaiting his agreement, the silent crowd suddenly exploded into a ear shattering uproar of cheers. They were all on their feet, practically jumping with excitement for the battle which was quickly drawing nearer.

Naturally, Hiren could have drew on of his weapons and charged, but why do that when he could so easily just test the man’s magical defenses. Hiren’s cool expression did not change as his right arm rose, his left foot raising and his body turning to bring it back to ground behind him. In his current stance, Hiren was standing sideways, his head turned and his arm extended palm out toward his opponent. A moment more, and he began weaving a immensely complex pattern of fire.

Tiny strands upon tiny strands wove together in perfect formation. Millions of them all interlocking perfectly to form a grand design. Of course, this entire weaving was not visible to someone who could not use the elements as he. Only an Elementalist could see the weavings of a spell, and he doubted this Devon was from Terra. However, although they were standing about twenty paces apart, he would son be able to feel the immense heat that was now pulsating from his palm.

He was not using his most powerful spell, of course, as that would truly annihilate the warrior. The spell most people knew as Obliterate was unstoppable, used mainly against a large force. The last time Hiren has used it was against an army of over ten-thousand men. Although it was the greatest spell known to the Fire element, which was his favorite of all, he could not deny he was terrified of its awesome destructive power. He could still see the vast area of blackness that had stretched out before him after that last time he used obliterate. Not even ashes had been left of the men.

No he was using a spell of much less power, though it was still far form weak. “White Lightning...” he said, his voice cool as ice, ringing with the calm confidence he harbored. In moments a lightning bolt of pure white, so white that even the pearly arena seemed dim in comparison shot from his palm. In all its burning intensity it streaked through the air at blinding speed, leaving only a trail of black on the arena floor in its wake, left my the truly immense heat that it was forged from...

(OOC: BTW, the thing I mentioned about the Obliterate spell. It being used to take out an army of ten-thousand men. That was actually rp'd out, as it is actually quite believable to those who know him. If anyone wishes to see it let me know XD :OOC)

Devon moved his hands in a new form, with all fingers sticking out and his middle fingers touching. The spell Devon conjured up was just to shield himself from the lightning blast. The blast was succesfully blocked, but the intense heat from it nearly knocked Devon out instantly. He got up and dusted himself off. He was still a bit dizzy, but it was nothing that could hinder him from fighting.

He waved his hands around in circular forms then slammed them both down on the rocks underneath him. As soon as he hit the ground, two walls made of pure shadow came up between both him and Hiren. Devon punched his hand in the wall to the left of him, making it comeout in the wall to the right of Hiran, punching him in the gut. Devon pulled his hand back out and laughed. He pulled out a single knife, and hurled it in his right wall. The knife came out of Hirans left wall, slashed him in the chest, went into the right wall, and came out of Devons left wall, where he caught the knife and threw it again, this time throwing more knives with it. The knives went in all ways, cutting Hirin continously without stopping.

Finally all the knives went back to Devon, where he sheathed them all back up. He slammed his foot on the ground, making the shadow walls become liquid again. The shadows all travelled to Devons foot, where he absorbed it all like a sponge. "You still want to play with magic?" Devon told Hiran as he stood normally, waiting for Hiran to make his move.

All throughout the entire attack Hiren had not moved. Instead he had chosen to stand motionless as the onslaught of blades seared through his flesh repeatedly. At least, he had for the first few. After one of the blades had cut a small part of his shirt he had quickly forged a shield of the spirit element. So close was it to his body that it seemed as if the blades were merely just not breaking the flesh. After the onslaught, he released the many threads of Light element he had used to create the barrier. As a result, it collapsed inward on itself, before disappearing from existence completely, leaving only a dim residue visible only to Elementalists.

His opponent, Devon, was a rather confident one. So he thought he had punished Hiren for using magic did he? Hiren had not even begun to show him what true magic was. Devon had proved to be able to block a spell of fire, no matter how closely the encounter had been. He had chosen to use darkness against Hiren, the element of Shadow. If only Roin could have seen it, he would have thought this man a challenge, perhaps. Devon used shadow, so Hiren would use light.

Blood dripped from the fingertips of his right hand, running from a cut upon his forearm. It went unnoticed, however, as wind suddenly began to pick up. Strangely enough, this wind did not reach the surrounding crowd, but instead reached the edge of the arena and curved around. The wind, controlled by Hiren himself began to spiral around the arena in a slow spiral. Only the first, and harmless part of a truly complex spell. To all who watched, they would notice the winds that swept around the arena gradually began to sparkle. Once again he was protecting himself with a razor thing barrier as the sparkling wind whipped around.

A calm, almost mocking smile played across Hiren’s features as he saw Devon begin to blink. “Can you feel it?” He asked, his voice reaching Devon through the winds. “Your eyes are beginning to hurt aren’t they? As if you had something stuck in them.” It was too late now, the wind was what people concentrated on in this spell. Most suspected a kind of attack to come form it, a harsh offensive maneuver. Most did not even notice when the air around them suddenly began to sparkle as something was added to the wind. What were these sparkling wonders? Tiny grains of crystal light element, sharp like shattered glass it would enter into the eyes of an unsuspecting opponent. With every blink they would cut their eyed lids and eye balls until, making themselves go blind without even knowing it.

Now, it was time for him to be a little aggressive as well. His main object complete, he increased the velocity of the winds, the crystal shards whipping across Devon’s body to form literally thousands of tiny cuts. Some of them even embedding themselves inside these cuts where they would gradually work deeper with every move he made. Soon pain would not even begin to describe what this man would feel.

Devon had fallen flat on the ground, hurting massively. He tried to dust his body free of the dust, but to no success. All he had done was cut his hands up even more. The tiny shards had penetrated his body and made every movement painful. But Devon stood straight up, not minding the pain. His eyes were bleeding massively from the barrage of light shards. The blood had covered most of his face. his entire body was cut up and his clothing was torn to shreds

Devon started to laugh sadisticly, not paying attention to the pain. "Your main objective was to blind me?!? HAHAHA!! That is pathetic! You forget I can control the shadows. The darkness is my ally!" Devon said. He ripped the sleeve from his duster off and wrapped it around his eyes, to make sure he would not cut his eyes anymore and cause anymore pain to himself.

Devon stood in the same spot, trying not to move to much. He lifted his arms and clapped them together above his head and then quickly brought them down to his side. He then brought both of his arms up and pointed his palms straight at Hiren. He started to chant something that seemed like a ancient language. Before Hiran could make his next attack, the shadows from the pillars and the walls had all went in underneath Hiran, creating a pool similar to the one the Devon used when he entered the arena. As soon as Hiran tried to get off of the shadow pool, the shadows erupted like a volcano, shooting Hiran up into the air about 60 feet. The shadows had grabbed him in mid-air and pulled him down to the earth, slamming him right back into the arena with enough force to create a crater the size of a vehicle.

Hiren

Anger ebbed away at the calm void that engulfed Hiren’s very being. His muscles flexed powerfully as he lifted himself up from the ground, his forearms rippling with powerful muscles at work. The crater that was created with his impact to the arena was rather small, considering the power the shadow element contained. Either this Devon was not nearly as skilled as Hiren had, at first assumed, or he was being careful. He figured the answer most likely the latter. Perhaps he was not such a match for his brother, Roin, after all...

Hiren stepped up out of the crater, his knuckles cracking as he clenched his fists. More cracking followed, from his back, his shoulders, even his ankles. The impact had not exactly hurt as much as it could have, but there was a small linger of pain still residing in his bones. Hence all the cracking. This Devon was laying with magic far more dangerous then he could even come close to comprehending with the mortal mind he possessed. Very well. It was clear the Shadow element was his opponents favorite. Therefore he would once again use a favorite of his own.

The palm of his right hand opened, the many threads of fire now emerging from his weaving fingertips. The finger movements were not needed, but they added to the suspense of what he was doing. Literally thousands, tens of thousands of threads ere spouting form his fingertips intertwining and spiraling around one another in a tiny, complex ball that gradually began to add a glowing sense to his hand for all to see. Another unnecessary addition, meant only to please the crowd, who were watching silently in aw and wonder as they awaited his attack.

The temperature in the entire stadium suddenly grew chillingly cold. Every breath form everyone emitted a small puff of steam, and shivers began to run up the very crowds spine. Hiren himself could not feel the cold, as he was engulfed with the massive heat he had just literally sucked out of the air. His hand was really glowing now, so brightly people needed to squint just to look anywhere near it. The from of the elementalist was just a shadow to those who could stand looking so much into the bright light to tell. As another little treat, Hiren expelled a small portion of the heat he now held within his being. As a kind of shockwave, it spread out through the entire arena and into the crowd, giving them a moment or two of the warmth they so craved.

Finally, the spell was complete, and Hiren was done playing with the crowd. His arm extended a small glowing orb now visible in the center of his palm. Aimed directly toward Devon, that orb began to grow, its bright light and heat intensifying as he gave the heat he had sucked out of the air to the spell. This attack was hot enough to completely disintegrate a human body without even leaving ash behind. Were he to hit with this, Devon would be completely destroyed.

The attack set, the target standing tense and prepared, all that was left now was to fire. Silence filled the arena, and he thought he could hear the creaking of seats as the anxious spectators leaned forward to see the attack that was soon coming. A soft smile played across Hiren’s now slightly shadowed features. The orb’s intensity grew, and it was obvious the attack was about to be launched...

At the last moment, Hiren’s hand moved downward, a bar of white hot fire shooting form his hand into the ground about two feet form him. So hot was this bar, that the heat could literally be felt from the very top of the stadium. Its brightness literally burning a bar into everyone’s vision, so that they saw it even when their eyes were closed. Confusion was on every face, the stadium was alive with what would have been soft whispers had there not been so many at once. Even Devon himself seemed confounded.

Gradually, the arena began to crack beneath Devon’s feet, stretching out beyond him in all directions. At first, all that could be noticed was the sound of cracking stone, along with shifting earth beneath the very stadium. There was a sudden lurch, and it seemed as if the ground beneath them had suddenly decided to leap up into the air. The crowds screams were now a mixture of fear and excitement, as they still did not know what was going on.

Finally, it began, all around Devon, steam, hot enough to burn severely at the slightest touch, spouted up from the earth below. Its hiss loud enough to overpower the screams of spectators. Strangely enough, this steam also curved at the top above Devon so that he could not somehow leap out. The ground began to tremble, as the earth beneath Devon’s feat crumbled away to reveal a vast chasm of molten fire below him. The earth rumbled, as this lava surged upward toward Devon’s now falling form...

Devon stood there in the middle of the arena, being burned alive by the steam. The heat was almost unbearable. He thought it was nearly over but then the ground opened up underneath him. Devon thought he was done for. All of a sudden, molten lava started erupting from the hole. Hiren thought he had won. Once the lava had stopped, he noticed there was no body to be seen.

Hiren was about to walk out of the arena when he felt the ground shake around him. Hiren looked about the arena to make sure Devon was nowhere to be seen, but then five seemingly bottomless holes opened up, forming a circle when you count the one Hiran had formed. The holes started to slowly push out the dark liquid similar to the one that Devon is known for controlling. The six holes finally erupted with large pillars of pure darkness. Out of each of the pillars came a figure, all looking exactly like Devon. The pillars finnaly stopped erupting when all six forms were completely out. Only one of them was the real Devon, and the rest were merely duplicates made of darkness.

The 6 copies had formed a circle around Hiren, each taunting him differently. One of the duplicates pulled out his scissors and smashed them up against the back of Hirens head, knocking him into another. The one that he bumped into pulled out his scissors and smashed them into Hirens gut, making him fly to another duplicate. This one held Hiren by pulling his arms behind his head. Another copy walked up to Hiren and started to punch him in the gut and face a couple of times. The Devon copy that was holding Hiren threw him above his head by turning him around, grabbing him by the wrists, falling on his back, and kicking Hiren with both legs. Hiren landed in the middle of all the copies. Each of them walked over to him and started to kick him and stomp on him nonstop while he was down.

The copies walked back and started to laugh in unison. The resulting sound was extremely eerie and frightful. They once again formed a circle around him, waiting for Hiren to get back up. They were having fun.
