yes 512, theres very little meaning for me to go from a low end 256mb card to a high end one and waste some $400+ when i can simply wait for the 512 cards and grab a new mobo with it.

Definately going to need a new mobo. AGP is obsolete now that PCI Express is on the scene. I've got an ATI 9800 Pro 128mb. Should last me another 2 or 3 years I think.

agp isnt obsolete as such as cards will still be made for the slot, the movement is towards pci express because is overall benchmarks and performance are better then agp. Another reason why im waiting is to see how pci handles in the long term (since my mate just got a pci express mobo and his vid card went pci express? it says i can fit in there but fucked if i know ABORT ABORT)

And if(when) i do get a new mobo i may as well look into the new processor base and capabilities.

That's what I'm doing :P I don't know anyone that has tried it out yet but i'm sure someone'll get it eventually. I've been reading up about the performance and everything being ridiculous but I just don't trust new technology. Better off waiting and having all the kinks done than getting it and the whole system goes up in flames :P
