You do not have to believe in anything specific, it's not like there is only one god.
I think there are lot's of gods, well not gods but I do think there is a higher power, something somewhere that guides us and helps us make our way through this long journey which is life, I always think you should be open minded, always believe what you want and not what others want, if you think that there is nothing there, then you go ahead and think that, there is nothing wrong with it, and if you believe in a god then good for you, do what makes you happy, but if you are like me, who believes in nothing other than a strong guidance, then I see go and do what you feel must be done, we should all be left to do what makes us happy, but are you completely sure that there is nothing there? are you sure there is something there? how do we know what's there and what's not, what gives us the right to push our beliefs on others? You do what you wanna do and leave everyone else to do the same, you may be right or wrong and that is one thing we will never know, cos there is no right or wrong, there is just what we believe is right and wrong, it's crazy, but that's how it is.

If you think I was rambling, please tell me, but it would be nice to know if I'm alone or not with this feeling...

i don't think u are rambling black angel. like you i believe in a higher power but i try not to infringe my beliefs on others. i think we are all reaching out to a greater force it is just interpreted different from person to person. this divine energy proably takes on many forms so it can communicate with us and we can understand it better. i'm pagan myself but also believe other paths of spirituality hold merit.

*claps hands* I don't see why we need to be specific, really. Having an idea is a lot better than believing when it comes to something you have no clue about. Let me put it this way: If someone told you a rumor, would you come to your own conclusions? I wouldn't, for sure. Here's an idea about religion: Maybe there's a higher power that may or may not affect our lives, but what I know is that what I do here matters and it may or may not affect what I receive after death. I could go to a higher plane or maybe be reincarnated. I just have to be prepared for anything.
