What are some of the most anticlimactic plot points in any RPG?

Some say the ending of SOTET ruined the game, but they're all being played to think that...

Eh, I didn't care much for the ending of SO3. They built it up and up to the final battle, and then just let it go. IT seemed pretty weak compared to a lot of the other stuff in the game.

I know... I'd have been much more happy fighting 'the creator' as a god or something instead of some crazy asshole controling everything...

So, "gods" in RPGs are usually something BESIDES crazy assholes controlling everything? :hmm

I didn't like the ending I got in SO TTEOT either. With Adray training the troops and all that crap. Luther was a pushover too I beat him and he only hit me once. I never did get any trophys :(

no... but I was saying that I wished he would have been a crazy god instead of some guy. =/

thats because you probably had it on easy =P
I had a lvl 50 odd party, really underlevelled for luther and got pwnd twice before bitch slapping him with strategy on normal.
Anticlimatic parts of rpgs ive played are:
NWN:HoTU - main character dieing and being cast to the barrens, only to resurrect and kick ass. (proves 1 its pointless to kill the main character, and 2 even in death you can beat the pants off of people)
And i have to put this in here
SO2 - Expel / Calnus' explosion, honestly happy ending 101 dictates that when good ppls homes and loved ones get blown up and de atmoised theres some retarted theorum to bring them back either for good, or for a final farewell.

SO3's ending was really bad. Although the special endings were all fun to get >.>
I actually disliked Lufia 2's ending. The way they went back to everyone and said "OMG THEY'LL BE HERE ANY MINUTE MI RITE MI RITE?" Just ruined it for me. >.> Cause they weren't coming back.
Another point in a game I thought could have been much more climatic was when you meet Mog in the WoR in FF6. You expect it to be like when you found everyone else and have this big rescue scene to do and whatnot. What happens? "Oh hey guys" *joins*

...And WHAT MODE DID YOU PLAY ON?! Ever try beating it on a difficulty other than easy? LIKE 4D FOR EXAMPLE?!
And you do get to kill god in that game. Remember the Ethereal Queen?
I just remembered the worst ending ever... Final Fantasy Legends. You kill god (in that game too!) and you're standing on the gates of paradise but decide not to go in just to spite God for controlling you so much. Oh and did I mention that the entire storyline is that you are trying to find Paradise?

I played it on normal and beat him pretty good. My party was lv70 ish though.

yeah 20 lvls make a hella difference with bosses, especially with what you go with as far as character stat uppage with those lvls

As I've said before, I beat Freya on normal with level 190 characters (about 50 levels early) but it took me well over an hour to fight and a full 3 hours of preparation.
I think the part in FFVIII where it turns out everyone was in the same daycare was just a little farfetched. That's WAY too convenient. I mean one or two of them, sure, but not every major character in the game... And then Seifer remembers at the same time that you do even though he wasnt with you when you found out... that's kinda a big plot loop there.

I forgot all about them being in the same orphanage under Matron's and Cid's watch.
