Throughout this world of Osurios's history, mankind has waged various wars. Countries have risen and fallen with them. Mages and skilled fighters had become quite valuable to these countries. However, throughout all recorded history, not a single one of these wars was waged without the prospect of power involved. A single crystal orb was this power. It gave these leaders meaning to attack each other at the drop of a hat. Though no man has yet been recorded to actually possess this orb, the mere mention of its unspeakable powers have been enough to incite madness in individuals.

Of course, not all of these individuals were exactly stable themselves. Numerous nutjobs have claimed to have the orb, but not one of them has really had it. Some of these fools were executed, others were able to acquire status with their fabrications, and others were just ignored.

Janin was one of the latter. However, one day, someone was bound to take notice. Who knows... maybe he really did know where it was...

Personality: A bit eccentric, perhaps there is a method to his madness though.

Janin thinks he knows the location of the orb. Those were the two sides I was anticipating to come up. I couldn't decide which way it would go, so I'm letting whatever character that comes in next decide. There also could be another person who thinks its in a different location, someone who just wants to shut him up, a relative, a hot girl that he gets attracted to, etc. Really... this is the first RP I've started. ^ ^;;

Name: Caspar
Sex: Male
Age: 19
Height: 6'2"
Hair: Short red
Eyes: Green
Skills/Weapons: Uses a partisan type spear, about 8 ft long. Spear can seperate into a 3-sectional staff for more reach. Also uses lots of explosives and bombs.
Personality: Suave, ladies man. Sleazy at times, but can be very charming. Always calm and collected, even in the midst of battle.

Looks: Tall, built man with red hair. Face is protected by solid metal headband. Wears a Massive chestplate with elaborate decor molded on. He wears a large chainmail shirt and black shirt underneath the armor. He also has armor that matches the breast covering his right arm. Left arm is covered in bandages. Legs are very well protected with side armor reminesent of samurai leggings. His legs are also covered by shin and knee plates. He wears chainmail leggings and a black pair of pants underneath the armor.

Story: After secretely hearing about some orb from a meeting of generals, Caspar knew he had to have this orb. Just hearing about its rumored powers made Caspar quiver with delight. He was destined to find out where this orb is, and nothing is going to stand in his way.

Can you describe a bit more about the world? Political powers, for example. Because of the constant warring, are there certain cities under lockdown, or are there guards and/or soldiers constantly patroling the streets? About what era would you say the technology of the world would be at? Would there be stone and/or wooden houses, or large cities with tall buildings? Castles and thatchtop cottages? I'm just asking so I can create an intro that meshes with the world you have in mind. It'd be a waste to appear in the storyline in some place that technically shouldn't exsist in this world

Hm. Well, alright. I'll post my "character card", but I'll post a proper introduction of my character into the story once it begins. Better descriptions of the character, background information, and why my character is searching for the orb will be revealed in the course of the story.

Eyes: Ruby Red, tied back by a gold band, about bottom length.
Skills/Weapons: Giant Hammer: EXTREMELY heavy: Silver with a gold handle.
Personality: Ruby has a split personality...Only her body changes along with her mind. Ruby has the ability to change
between child and adult but this isn't something she has complete control over and can be a pain at times. Her normal
form being an adult...Certain emotions trigger this "change" in her and cause her to turn back to her childish self...These
emotions are: Fear, anger and hurt. (Explanation -Just in case: Being scared, angry or upset.) Her being able to change
back is something of luck...It can take from one hour onwards until she changes back. (A day, a month...You get the idea.)
Ruby has only one goal in life...To find rare and beautiful treasures! She doesn't have much interest in people and will only
go along with others if it benefits herself.

Appearance - Adult: Ruby wears a dress that matches her hair and eyes with some gold fabric around the edges.
Her dress has no sleeves and is quite long -About knee length- with splits up both sides to make it easy for her to move. She has brown
leather sandals for footwear and wears gold rings around her ankles and wrists.

Appearance - Child: A sweet and innocent face and always full of smiles...The young Ruby wears a pink dress with long sleeves
reaching past her wrists and covering her hands. Where the dress reaches her hips it flares out and covers just above her ankles,
concealing the tops of her large, brown boots. Although sweet and innocent....The young Ruby can be rather violent at times.


After evesdropping on some travellers talking about an orb of power, the young and adventurous Ruby decided to wonder into the nearest town to see what else she could find out. This orb sounded like a sparkly to her and if it shined and looked good...Ruby HAD to have it!
With only a small brown sack strapped to her back she looked quite harmless and that was the way she wanted it...Wondering into a foriegn area such as this and looking tough wasn't a good idea and this girl had some brains.
Her wondering took her to a small bar, her eyes examined the sign "Julies Place" It read...Sounded too cute to have anyone knowledgable inside but it was better than nothing. Ruby took her chances and walked inside then sitting herself down at the bar, her ears awaiting the sounds of gossip that would fill her mind with enough info to start looking for this orb...

(Was that alright? That was the best I could do with what I had to go on...And well...It doesn't seem like anyone else was planning on doing anything anytime soon! So...Alright, yeses?)

Skills/Weapons: Scythe and short sword. Uses dark magic and has great agility.
Appearance: He wears a black warlocks hat, black cloak, black pants, shirt and boots. He is thing but has amazing strength and is able to use his scythe with ease.
Occupation: Necromancer/Warrior.
Personality: Evil bastard who's only motive is to look out for himself. Doesn't work well with others and is a complete nut case. Very confused b/c of his amnesia.

Draven's family was brutally murdered infront of him when he was a child. He was then savagely beaten and lost his memory but see's flashes of the brutal murder. He was saved by a Necromancer and learned the black arts and sword fighting from him. With the nightmares and flashes of his family being slaughtered (he doesn't know it's his family though), he sought the orb for immense power and revenge. Also, he hopes the orb will return his memory so he can return his memory and figure out these nightmares.

Ruby walks in a sits down.

Bartender: Oh, a new face. May I get you something to drink Miss...

Ruby: Ruby. And I think I'll pass, I'm here for information.

Janin: I'M TELLINJ YOO PEOPLe you could be rich if you wood jes LEESEN to me! Camman, the suriite orb isnt that far away, I jes need a little helpp.

Ruby glances over at him

Bartender: Don't pay attention to him. He's a pathetic drunk and has no credibility.

Ruby: Well what's so uncredible about him?

Bartender: He claims that aliens from another world mugged him and took his wallet.

Ruby: I... see...

Bartender: I'd stay away from him if I were you.

Ruby: (hmm... its better than nothing... should I try to ask him?)

[Miles]

"I guess I don't have much choice...This guy is all I got..." Ruby let out a sigh, not believing what she was about to do. This guy not only looked slightly insane...But he sounded it too...But if she wanted that orb it was worth a try. If he was lying she could always kill him.
She glanced over at Janin and felt unsure of what to say. Her eyes rolled as she felt dissappointed at herself for hesitating. "Hey! You!" Her eyes fixed on the drunkerd before her. "What's your name?"
She scooted herself over to make comunicating easier...At least for her. "And what exactly do you know about this orb? You know where it is!?" She slammed a hand down on the table and then stopped completely. She knew that her emotions were dangerous..."What am I doing?..." She thought to herself and then finally sat herself properly and tried her best to smile.

Janin: Heh? Sho you believe me?

Ruby: More or less...

Janin: EEEEHHH this is great! Sho are ya ready ta go!

Ruby: Right now? I doubt you can even walk, let alone guide me to my treasure.

Janin: SHURE I AM! All you gotta do is take a left shomewere. I'm sure of it! *passes out*

(I hope by carrying on like this...I'm not intimidating anyone?)

Ruby leaned over and looked down at the drunk. "What a goof...Uh, now what?" She glanced at the bar tender who just gave her a shrug. She had no idea what to do with this guy now. He was just sort of lying there. Her eyes spied a bucket of water at the other end of the bar. Ruby rose from her seat and walked to the bucket, grabbing it and walking back to Janin. She glanced to the bucket and then to Janin. "Wakey!! WAKEY!" She tipped the icey water over him in hope that it would wake him up. "Get up you...You!!" Her hands took him by the collar and she began to shake him violently but still nothing...She got bored after a few minutes and just dropped him on the floor.
Ruby sat herself back down and raised her hand to get the attention of the bar tender. "I think I'll take that drink now! But no hard stuff...Booze isn't my thing!" She rested her elbows on the table as her drink was served almost immediatly, her hands grasped the small glass and she spent a few minutes staring into it, wondering what the drink actually was. "Isn't there anyone who can tell me something about this orb!?" Her eyes shut and she took a deep breath, relaxing herself.

Sex: Male
Age: N/A (partial amnesia, can only remember to 10 years ago. He appears to be about 30 years old.)
Height: 6' 0"
Hair: dark red, very long
Eyes: red, reflects light like a cat's eyes
Skills/Weapons: Skilled with swords and claws. Has some knowledge of magic but prefers to rely on his skills with weapons. He typically uses what magic he has to magically charge his attacks with weapons.
Personality: Generally quiet and only speaks when necessary. He is a skilled killer that usually doesn't let emotion get in the way of combat. Aside from being a hardened fighter he is a very confused person since he can't remember much of his past. A big part of his confustion comes from his ability to kill, since he can't remember ever being trained to do it. The few real memories he has are of a barren mountainside covered with corpses and shadowy winged figures. He spends most of his time travelling the world trying to find something that may bring back some memory to him.

Dalton: Perhaps I can help you.

Ruby looked up at Dalton... he had a rough appearance. He was wearing a cloak. A very worn beaten cloak. Through the openings she could see that he was wearing armor underneath it. He also carried some kind of sword... at least she thought it was a sword.

Ruby: You know something about what he's talking about?

Dalton: Not much, but more than most of these people will be able to tell you.

Dalton stared down at Ruby and the blacked out Janin.

Dalton: He didn't happen to say his name did he?

Ruby: It's Janin, why do you ask?

Dalton: He looks like someone... nevermind. It isn't important. Come on... lets move him out of here. I've got a room upstairs. We can talk about it there.








I'll do more later... I've got too much of a headache to think of more right now.

[Miles]

"Move him?" Ruby raised her hand and another drink came sliding her way. "Sure, if it'll help...I guess." She watched as Dalton took Janin's legs. She reached out and stopped him. It would take too long for the both of them to carry him up the stairs. "I can do this." She reached down with one hand and lifted Janin into the air by his collar and began to make her way up the stairs, letting Dalton take the lead. He led them to the end of a rather long hall and then into his room. Ruby dumped Janin on the floor and smirked at the odd look she got for it. "I'm...A little used to weight..." Her eyes looked all around the room, not taking in much of it's appearance. She walked over to the window and slid it open, sitting herself on the ledge with one leg in and the other hanging outside. She never did like being trapped inside a place, she need to feel like she could run off at any moment. Her arms folded and she spent the best of ten minutes just staring out of the window, at the people in the street below.
There weren't many down there...The town seemed so empty and quiet.
Ruby turned her head to face Dalton. "So, what exactly do you know?" The silence was getting to her. She had to know about this orb and she never did enjoy waiting.
Eventually Dalton began to tell her of the info he had come across...

*In middle of Dark Forest*

Draven is sitting by a tree as he thinks about his next move to find the orb. An old man stumbles across him while hunting.

Old man: What are you doing here?

Draven: Go away or I'll gut you. Unless you have information about the orb.

Old man: Yeah I got information. It's up my ass and around the corner.

Draven: Oh really.....Well let's have a look see.

*Draven proceeds to brutally slice up the old man*

Draven: Bastard....Tricked me =/

Draven begins to search the forest for more clues.

Dalton took a bottle off of the shelf that was beside his bed and poured himself a glass.

Dalton: Can I offer you a drink?

Ruby: That's ok... I'm really not thirsty.

Dalton: You sure? I'm not drinking the same horse piss that Janin was.

Ruby: Alright then, I suppose a little can't hurt.

Dalton poured her a glass of the light blue liquid.

Dalton: It's made from a plant called the Hibeno.

Ruby: So? What does that have to do with anything. I thought you were going to tell me what you know about the orb.

Dalton: The merchant that sold it to me claimed that he picked it up in the Kovori region.

Ruby looked a little confused... before she got the chance to ask Dalton responded.

Dalton: The Kovori region is an area that's quite a ways southwest of here. The land is barren... desolate. One of the only things that seems to manage to grow there is the plant that this drink is made of.

Ruby: Oh, I think I know the place you're talking about. Isn't that the region that was destroyed in the great war 400 years ago?

Dalton: Yes, it is. It's also the last place that anyone ever saw the orb.

Ruby: ...that isn't much of a lead.

Dalton: It's better than all the myths you would have gotten in the tavern downstairs. I've been planning on heading that way myself. If you want you can tag along with me, if you're up to the challenge of going.

Ruby: Don't underestimate me Dalton. Most of the men that take me at face value like that end up dead.

Dalton chuckled at that. It had been a while since he'd met anyone like Ruby. He's usually a solitary person... but it seemed like he was enjoying the company of this new friend.

Janin started to stir. Startled, he opened his eyes...

Janin: Where am I... who the hell are you?

Dalton: My name is Dalton. With my help and some luck we might find that Orb you're looking for...

[Miles]

Ruby looked to Janin and couldn't help but feel slightly angry. "Please tell me that he isn't still drunk?" She closed her eyes and counted to ten in her mind...But it didn't really help. "I'm not carrying a drunk around..." She still sat on the window ledge, the foot outside was toying with pub sign, prodding it slightly and making it rock. "Going along with you does seem like a smart idea though...And maybe this guy could join us...But I'm going to ignore him until he sobers up." Ruby hopped to her feet and walked around the rook a few times before stopped by the window again. This time she stood there, he back to Dalton and Janin...Her eyes focused on the street below. "You said that this place was quite a ways south of here, correct?...How much of a ways?...Are we talking hours, days...Weeks?"

[Zelphiel]

lol... you know... the way the three of us have started so far reminds me of the main 3 in samurai shamploo. :P

Dalton: Yes, it's a long journey. On foot it would take at least 6 or 7 months. You wouldn't happen to know of any way to get a ride would you?

Ruby: No, I'm not from this area... I don't have any connections with anyone that would take us.

Dalton: Getting a ride anywhere else in the world would be easy. I've done nothing but wander for the past decade. Finding your way isn't the hard part... unless you're going to Kovori. No one in their right mind ever wants to go there.

Ruby: ...and you've been there before?

Dalton's voice took a very sober tone. His eyes got hard and serious.

Dalton: Yes. It's one of the few places from my distant past that I can still remember.

Ruby: What happened to you there?

Dalton: I'd rather not talk about it. I can't remember it fully... but what part I can is too painful to speak of.

Janin, starting to sober up, looked around again. A little less startled than before...

Janin: So... you know about the orb huh.

Dalton: Yes... I'm...

Janin: No need to say it again. I was somewhat concious when you were blabbing about some drink and the orb being in a desert somewhere.

Dalton: Hmm... so if you were listening the whole time then maybe you have an idea of how to get us there.

Janin: Maybe... it all depends on one thing.

Ruby: And that is?

Janin: It's nothing... just an old friend that could get us there.

Dalton: Doesn't sound like there's a problem with that.

Janin: There wouldn't be... except the last time we saw each other... she wanted me dead.

[Twilight Sparkle]

Noisy. That was definately the word the passed through the young woman's mind. Noisy and annoying. Why the hell did she decide that hanging out in a pub of all places would be the ideal choice for gathering information?
"Honestly.." she mutters under her breath, pinching the bridge of her nose in exasperated annoyance, "I don't know how these drunkards can even stand staying in a place like this for more than a minute." Sighing heavily, she reaches back and brushes a long strand of emerald hair from her shoulder. Well, noisy or not, this was an ideal place to eavesdrop on the local "storytellers".
"Hey, didja here?" The young woman's liquid brown eyes shoot open as the disgustingly drunk man on the stool next to her begins adressing another patron. Perhaps this man would have something more interesting to say than the usual drivel that escaped these rancid men's mouths. Leaning forward ever so slightly, she strains her ears, attempting not to miss a single word while still remaining relatively inconspicuous.
"Whad'ja say?" the man being adressed asked in respons, his dark, sunken eyes turning towards the first man.
"I heard somthin' interestin' a lil' while ago." the first man starts, voice slurring heavily from the alcohol. "One'a my contacts tol' me somethin' interestin' a lil' while ago." Gritting her teeth, the young woman tapped her finger on the old, worn wooded bar with impatience. You said that already, you bastard! Get to the point.
"I heard that some people's lookin' for somethin'.. somethin' worth riskin' yer life for." The first man paused, as if for dramatic effect, though she suspected he was just too drunk to have any credible motor skills. "There's somthin' called an 'Orb" or wha'ever the hell it's called.."
"I've heard o'that myself, friend." the second man interupts, his voice not quite as slurred as the other man's but still noticably hopped up on booze. "In fact, I have a group'o people workin' wit' me to find this particular 'Orb'." the young woman leans forward a bit more, knuckles white with the force with which she was clamping on to her bar stool, liquid eyes focused intently on the second man. He seemed to know at least a little about the 'Orb'.
"My group is well know 'round these parts, friend." he continues, foolish, misplaced pride in his voice. "We've found out somethin' real interestin' about this 'Orb'. Ya see.. " The young woman suddenly starts, nearly jumping from her seat as a large, heavy hand claps down on her shoulder.
"What do you think yer doing, little missy?" the man's gruff voice booms down at her. Slowly turning her head, her eyes lock with another pair of eyes, dark and sunken. Eyes that were definately not smiling.
"Ah.. excuse me?" She mentally grimaces, wishing she had let loose with a more witty response.
"I said: " the man, extremely large and obviously pissed off, picks her up with the hand on her shoulder and tosses her roughly across the room. "What the HELL do you think yer DOING, little missy!?" Skillfully twisting her body in midair, she somersaults and lands gracefully on her feet several feet away, as if it were the most natural thing in the world to do. Now that she had some breathing room, she took a quick, measured glance about the pub. Something didn't seem quite right..
"Crap.." she curses under her breath, "When the hell did all these guys get in here?" Indeed, the room was now full of extremely large and overall disgusting looking men. The fact that every one of their eyes were focused on her didn't help to aliviate the situation, either.
"You lookin' fer the 'Orb', too, missy?" One of the men spoke up, addressing her directly. "Sorry ta say, but you've picked th' wrong day ta choose this here pub ta snoop around." Yeah. She had already figured that out. Jerk.
"Look, I'd love to stay and chat with you boys" she starts, taking a quick step backwards as several of the men begin advancing upon her. "but I've really got to be going." With that, she turns around an bolts out of the pub, not even taking notice of the fact that the men were to idiotic to have blocked the door. Taking shelter within an alley nearly a block away, she hunches down to gather her thoughts.
"Damn.." she curses out loud, pounding her fist into her palm. "I'll have to find some other way to dig up some information on the 'Orb'."

(( First, I'd like to mention that this takes place in the town next to the one most people are now in. We'll meet up later, I'm sure.

( That is true! Reading is fun! I can't read books or anything (Excluding Manga, of course!!) though...I can only read something that a friend of mine has written. It's kinda odd...But I enjoy reading something that someone close to me has done rather than a book done by someone I don't know.

Ruby just let out a small sigh. She still had her back to everyone and didn't feel much like turning around. She knew that things were going to be a little weird from this point on. She had never travelled with anyone else before and the thing that bothered her most was the thought of the company made her smile. She found herself wondering if they'd meet others who were in search of the orb but she soon shook all of the happy thoughts from her head...She new that where there was happiness, sadness would follow..."So, what now?" She turned and looked to Janin and Dalton. "You guys know alot more about this than I do...Where exactly do we go next?" She folded her arms and bowed her head, letting her thoughts circle around her mind for a few minutes. "Dalton knows our main destination...And Janin knows someone who can get us there faster...Hmm....Do we find this friend of yours first or something, Janin?"
She hated not knowing what was going on. She was so used to being in charge that having to take a back-seat rattled her a bit.
Ruby walked to the door and then back to the window, letting her frustration and impatience show.

Janin: I think we should just wander off in that direction. If we find her, then we get to scurry fasterly to the orb. If not, then we're still getting there.

[Miles]

"Does that mean we can get out of this place?" Ruby glanced into her golden bracelets and smiled to herself. Treasure was out there waiting...Rubies, Sapphires and Emeralds! Her eyes lit up at the thought of all those beautiful gems lying in wait...Her hands longing to grab them and watch them shine.
"The sooner we're on our way, the better!" She let her dreams fade away and regained the serious look, hoping that no one would notice. She loved adventure and loved finding treasures! This orb was somewhere out there...And she was betting on it sparkling like a thousand starry nights.

[Baka]

*Draven's still wandering dark forest*

He starts noticing that he's seen the blood staind foot prints on the ground. Draven starts thinking to himself, "What the hell.....???? I'm freakin walking in circles....I'm pissed off now." He decides to just walk straight and see where that takes him. He comes across the dead old man he killed before...."Crap....I came from this way already." He turns around and heads back the other way. After a few hours of walking he finally finds himself out of the forest and into some town. "Ugh...a crappy town. I have no money for an Inn and food. Looks like I'll have to either beg for some cash or kill people." He decides to sit infront of the town with his hat low and over his eyes hoping that someone will give him some money. "This is freakin' pathetic....I can blow this damn town up with one spell but I gotta lay low *sigh* This sucks....."

[Rainbow Dash]

Janin: And off we go!

Janin walks towards the door.

DAlton: Do you even know which way you're going?

Janin: To the... left?

(Lathan seems to be out for the moment, let's slow this down now.)

I wasn't saying that I don't like reading, I was just saying that the shorter and more broken up it is, the easier it makes it to read through it all quickly.


Dalton let out a long sigh.

Dalton: Janin... I really hope you aren't getting us lost.

Janin: Nah. I never get lost. Just sidetracked.

Ruby rolled her eyes... she had the feeling that this was going to be a long trip.

Janin: Besides, she doesn't live too far away. She owns the tavern in the next town over.

Ruby: Why does it have to be another tavern. I've had enough of the one we were just in.

Dalton: I guess you'll have to get used to it travelling with him. I've got a feeling that any tavern is his home away from home.

The three of them started walking to the east. They were travelling on a well traveled worn road. It was twilight... the sun was barely clinging to the sky.

Dalton: We should be cautious here. I've heard bandits talking about how they gave up on robbing people at night in this area because they kept getting attacked by strange creatures...





lol... now I'm out for the moment. It'll be a few hours before I'm back.

After following these travellers for a while, Caspar decided to run ahead of them and take a break. He ran through the rooftops, hoping that the travellers would not see him. When he got far enough, he tried to set up a small camp on the top of some random house, when he realized he was out of food. He was to sit there until the travellers had came to this part of the village.

Caspar decided the only way he was going to get fed tonight was to act injured, or kill them, and he did not want to do that as they had an idea where this orb is hidden. Caspar took out one of his grenades and hurled it into an empty street, hoping the others would hear the explosion.

[Rainbow Dash]

(What's a grenade? Hmm... as long as the explosives don't get too big that's fine. However, the way my character reacted may not be the way you wanted, but this is the way he would react.)

Janin cocked his head.

Janin: Boom?

Dalton: I heard it too.

Janin: Okay.

Janin continues walking along the path.

Ruby: You don't want to know what it was?

Janin: Nope, its probably a big thing, and big things are not unbig. And off we go!

[Miles]

"You're not...Slightly curious?" Ruby blinked a few times before looking to the sky, her thoughts on the odd and not cared for explosion. She wondered why there would be such noise in such a quiet town...Worry began to comsume her. Her hands took it upon themselves to reach forward and grab Janin and Dalton by the shoulders. "Don't you two think it's a bit odd?" She pulled them slightly so they were both facing her. "Such a quiet place and...Such a loud noise?" Her right brow rose slightly as she waited for an answer from one of them. Curiousity was something that she could never hold back.

[Baka]

Draven spent the night sitting infront of the town begging for money. "God damnit....It's morning and I only got a few bucks out of that. YOU GUYS CAN ALL GO TO HELL YOU CHEAP BASTARDS!!!!!!" *stomach growls* "I need to eat or I'm going to starve to death....." Draven gets up and notices a cat walking on the road. "MmMmMmm.....cat burger *drools*" He runs up to the cat but it starts running away. "COME 'ERE YOU LITTLE BASTARD!!!!!!" The cat runs under a tree branch and Draven doesn't notice it. *SMACK* He ran right into the tree branch. "MOTHER F*****!!!!!!" He starts to go ape s*** and cast a ton of spells leaving a huge crater where the tree once stood. "Take that you sonovaslut!!!!!" *Stomach growls* He notices a dog, black rottweiler, sitting on the road. "I can't eat a freakin' dog....Dog's kick ass." Draven walks up to the rottweiler to pet it but it starts growling and bites his hand. "AHHH....you rat bastard....." The dog stops growling and calms down letting Draven pet him. "That's a good dog. I'll call you Havoc you crazy mutt." Havoc starts to bark out of happiness. "So you know what I'm saying huh???" *Bark* Alright then I guess you can come along with me then." *Bark* "But first, we need to find some food. Use that nose of yours and track something." Havoc runs off and returns with a bunny in his mouth. "Sweet....you freakin rock alright now we can eat something." Draven cooks the bunny and they proceed to consume their meal. "That'll do for now but I need to find some info on this damn orb. Any ideas????" Havok starts to bark and starts heading East. "Alright....we'll go this way. Why I'm following a dog, I have no clue...." Draven proceeds to head East with his new pet/companion Havoc.

Janin: You may fork if you wish Ruby, it is your choice! But I shan't go near the not unbig thing.

[Miles]

"Oh, that's just what you'd want! No way you're getting rid of me that easy!" She let go of her two male companions and gave them both a slight shove forward. "No way are you two going off to find that orb without me! So let's get out of here and find that friend of yours, Janin!" Ruby walked ahead of them, making sure to stand tall and look proud but after taking a few steps..She realized that she wasn't in charge like she always had been...She was now having to follow someone else. She stopped and turned to face Dalton and Janin. "Come on then! I can't go anywhere without you two now, can I."

[Baka]

"Hey Havoc....How much further do we have to walk till the next village????" *Bark Bark* "That far huh??? *Bark* Walking along the road for hours not seeing a single person, Draven became a little suspicious about the area. "Havoc do you sense anything bad here???" *Bark Bark* "I do too. You go that way and I'll go this way. Something's not right about this." Draven and Havoc walk in opposite directions to find out why they have no run into anyone. Draven heard Havoc barking and ran to him. Infront of Havoc was a beaten man just barely alive.

Draven: Hey what happened here???

Injured man: I was attacked by some guys. They've been attacking people along this road looking for some orb. They got mad when I had no information for them and beat me.

Draven: Oh really??? Which way did they go???

Injured man: They are hiding out in a cave about 3 miles that way. *points towards a mountain in the North*

Draven: Alright Havoc. Let's go have some fun
*Bark*

Off Draven and Havoc went to find the bandits and to gather whatever information they had. Along the road to the cave they are attacked by a few of those bandits.

Draven: Yay....something to do. Well boys you can either give me some information on the orb or I can kick your asses, make you give me the info, then kill you 100 times over??? Your choice.
*Bark*

Bandit: We ain't gonna give you nutin. You're one guy with a mangy dog against 5 of us. You have no chance to beat us.

Draven: Alright if you say so....Havoc, shall we???
*Bark*

Draven and Havoc lay the smack down on the bandits brutally killing one after another leaving only one alive to answer their questions.

Draven: Well now....You were saying????

Bandit: I don't know where the orb is. We've been getting conflicting information and don't know where to start. Please don't kill me.

Draven: You're freakin pathetic you know that??? Are there anymore of you guys in that cave???

Bandit: Yeah there are a lot more in the cave. Please don't kill me....I beg of you.

Draven: Havoc, will you do the honors????
*Bark*

Havoc proceeds to annihilate the bandit, killing him. "Off we go to the cave. That was somewhat amusing." *Bark Bark* "Alright. Hopefully these other guys will have something for us." They continued their journey towards the cave of the bandits.

Dalton scratched his head. He was a little curious himself... as to what made that sound. It sounded like a grenade like the Velian army uses... which peaked his curiousity even more. The Velian army has virtually no presence on this continent. He started to think that it may have been a deserter... or a stupid bandit playing with something he'd stolen.

Dalton: It's probably best that we don't check it out Ruby. Anything that makes a noise that we can hear several miles away from that town could be a dangerous thing to look at.

Ruby: I guess so... but I still want to know what it was.

Dalton: It sounded like a Velian Army grenade... which is a pretty good reason to not check it out. I'd rather avoid getting caught up with that group again.

Janin: You were in the army... you don't seem like the kinda guy that'd join a group like that.

Dalton: I wasn't a member of the army... but I worked as a mercenairy for a few years on one of their island outposts... and things got... a little bad for everyone.

Ruby: Like how?

Dalton: I'll put it like this... ...everyone died.

Janin: Shit... somehow I knew you were going to say that.

Ruby: Y..you didn't kill everyone did you?

Dalton: No... but they think the incident was my fault.

Dalton heard a sound that was moving in on them. It was something... no, several things moving through the dry brush around them.

Ruby and Janin: What happened?

Dalton: Shh! Listen... I think we've got company, and by the way it's moving I don't think it's human.

Janin: Thank god. All this talking was boring the shit out of me. Killing something ought to get the blood going again.

[Miles]

"Oh, great...It's going to be a troll...Isn't it?" Ruby slowly reached behind her back with one hand but kept herself focused on whatever was lurking so close to them. She was hoping that a fight wouldn't happen so soon...For once, she wanted things to run smoothly but if that happened then adventures wouldn't really be adventures. "Alright! Let's do this!" She quickly removed her hand from her back, decided against taking her weapon out...The reason she did things alone was because such a weapon scared everyone away...She could use her fists just as well!
There was silence for a moment...The wind blew, cold and silent...The grass dancing. The creatures around them stayed silent as if waiting for the right moment to pounce. "What...What are they waiting for?"

[Rainbow Dash]

Janin: Quah? Are they even here?

Janin trots over to where he heard the noise. The hairy creature (a Froki which had fattened lips and long, usually silky hair along its bulky face somewhat shaped like an X - it has a beard and long hair with rough bald spots on the top, bottom, and sides of its face, with the rest of its body following in the same fashion) saw him approach and shifted slgihtly to stay in hiding a bit longer. Frokis are quite slow, and it needed more time to aim its crossbow.

Janin: Hey! I found something! It's a grizzly with a crossbow! And he looks unruly!

The Froki shot as best as he could and the crossbow bolt spiraled towards Janin's left shoulder. Before it could reach, Janin's eyes glowed briefly and his dagger lifted itself out of its sheath and parried the bolt, then continued to hover in the air.

The rest of the Froki (only about 4 or 5) eased their way out of hiding and began readjusting their aim towards the team.

[Miles]

(I was sorta experiencing a creative block...But I am back!! So here we go!)

"How...How are you doing that?" Ruby turned her attention to Janin for a moment. "That's a pretty nice trick!" She stood ready to fight...She wasn't sure how to deal with these creatures. Out of all the monsters she had ever faced...None were like this. They were all monster-wannabe's! These guys looked like the real-deal. She knew that it wasn't wise to use her weapon against something with such aim and speed with a bow.
Her feet took off and Ruby charged towards one of the Froki, her hair looking like a blazing fire as it whiped around in the wind. She lept into the air and came down towards the Froki, fist first. Her tightly clenched fist hitting its skin with great force..."Huh?" Her attack hand no effect. It bounced off the Froki's skin, the power of it rising through her arm and throwing her backwards, causing her to land bottom first on the ground...She could have saved herself and landed on her feet...If only she had known..."Darn....What is going on?..That should have had some effect!" She just sat there for a moment and watched as the creature began to make mocking noises...The creatures all began to taunt the team.
"They're...Mocking us?.."

[Baka]

(bah....fine fine i'll put something...umm...where was I....*scratches head*)

Draven and Havoc walked to the cave of the bandits to finish them off and gather whatever information they had. "Look there's that cave. I'll fire some magic in there to get rid of most of the bandits and you rush in" *growl* "Ready...??? Let's go." Draven unleashed a huge fireblast that made the cave collapse. "CRAP...!!!!! That didn't go as I planned. Oh well atleast the bandits are dead. Oh well sorry about that Havoc. I know you wanted to play." *Bites Draven* "Wtf??? What was that for??? Are you pissed at me b/c you wanted to play??? Alright alright we'll find something to do." They walked back the road and continued heading towards another town. "Looks like we don't have enough money for food or a place to sleep. God I have to sit here and beg for some money!!???? Atleast I'm not a....lone....*looks around* Where the hell did that mutt run off to???" Draven sat at another town begging for money....again. "God this sucks. WHERE'S MY DAMN DOG??????"

[Zelphiel]

Dalton stood back and observed his two companions fighting the Froki. If he felt that they were a real threat he would have been at the front, killing the monsters with them. These were generally weak monsters compared to the things that he was used to fighting in the wilderness... he had after all been drifting alone for years... so he was more than used to doing this sort of thing solo. What he really wanted to know is what his new group was capable of doing, because when they got to the desert they'd be fighting things that are infinitely worse than these.

Speaking to himself...

Dalton: They're much better than I thought they'd be. I should have learned in my travels to not judge peoples skill by their first impression. Hmm... Something isn't right all of a sudden. The birds and other animals behind me are quiet... something's back there.

Ruby: Look out Dalton... something is comming up fast and it's headed towards you.

Janin: Hmm... I wonder how this'll turn out.

Ruby: You're not going to help him!?

Janin: Nah... It's our turn to see how good of a fighter he is... like he's been doing to us this whole time.

Ruby was a little frustrated. She hadn't noticed that Dalton wasn't in the fight that the two of them had been having with the monsters.

Ruby: Ugh... You mean he was just standing there watching us the whole time...

The monster, after sizing up Dalton, sped towards him like a blur. Janin, listening hard , heard Dalton saying something. It sounded like some kind of magic. When Dalton unsheathed his sword the black somewhat bloodstained blade started to glow red. The monster raised it's huge talons ready to strike Dalton down. Before Ruby or Janin could see anything happen the monsters arm was gone. Then the beast was laying on the ground cut in half. The parts of the monsters flesh that his blade touched was smoldering. Dalton looked around to make sure there were no more enemies, then sheathed his sword.

Dalton: I had the feeling that you wanted to see something of what I can do in a fight. Weaklings like those usually never get the honor of being killed like that. I usually just use my claws to cut them down. These things are nothing compared to what we're going to be fighting... so if you doubt your skills at all now is the time to practice them.

Ruby and Janin were puzzled. Dalton looked like a travelling bum at best. He said that he used to be a mercenairy, but they really didn't believe him. They just couldn't see someone that looked like him fighting for the royal army. After seeing those skills it made it clear that he was telling the truth, and that there was more to Dalton that meets the eye.

Dalton: Lets hurry to the next town. That place I was staying at earlier didn't have running water and I could use a shower. Maybe if I didn't look so much like a vagrant people would believe me when I tell them about myself.

Janin: ...riiight. Ruby, you comming?

Ruby was falling behind a little... Something was obviously on her mind.

[Rainbow Dash]

Janin noticed she was slowing down, so he did what anyone would do in his situation. He started pushing her.

[Zelphiel]

Dalton: She's probably tired Janin. I would be if I was swinging around that huge hammer. Lets rest for a minute to let her recover.

Ruby: No... I'm fine. I'm used to this thing... I was thinking about something. We can move on if we need to.

Janin: Yeah, we should. I don't want to waste my blade on these pathetic creatures again... hmm... do you hear that?

Ruby: I think so... it's comming from over there.

Dalton: I think someone's comming... it sounds like footsteps.

They all readied their weapons just in case it was another monster or a bandit stupid enough to try and rob them. As it got closer Dalton recognized something he was carrying. He had a sack of grenades.

[Miles]

(Sorry guys, I was a lil slow...This may not be too good o.o; I'm not really all here..>.>)

Ruby stared for a moment. "Who is that?" She continued to stare until everything went fuzzy. She wasn't quite herself and was still unsure why. She looked to Janin and then to Dalton, wondering if either of them knew who was heading their way.
"Uh...Anyone know who that is?" She raised a hand and waved it infront of her to travelling companions.
She wanted to move forward and approach this being before them but she had that saying about the cat in her head...It really didn't seem wise to move forward. She stood still with her friends and waited for something...

Dalton: I believe it's the one that was making all that noise in the town we just left. Maybe he was trying to get our attention with those things.

Guys lets wait a bit to see if RR even is planning on coming back. If he's not back after a few days, we'll demote his character to NPC. I'm about to leave for a week starting tomorrow anyway.

The others, who were standing slightly to his left, saw a path into a town instead.

Dalton: Looks like we've made it to the town.

"We've...Made it?" Ruby brushed some hair from her face and looked the wall up and down. It didn't feel like they had been travelling for very long...Which was a good thing. She was used to walking but it didn't mean that her feet wouldn't ache from time to time. She turned to Dalton and Janin. "Uh...We're going to take a break in the town, right?.."

[Zelphiel]

Dalton scratched his head. He'd traveled this forest before and couldn't remember ever seeing this here. He reached out and touched the wall. The second his hand touched it a bright flash eminated from the stone and a bolt of energy threw him to the ground.

Dalton: Uggh... didn't expect that to happen.

Ruby: Are you ok?

Dalton stood up and brushed himself off.

Dalton: Yeah, I'm fine.

Janin: Maybe we should find a way inside this place.

Ruby: What do you mean? Is it not the village wall?

Dalton: The village we're going to doesn't have a wall like this.

Janin: Whatever it is... something wanted us to find it.

"Suh-Something wanted us to find it?..." Ruby couldn't help but shiver at the thought, when Janin spoke those words she had the thought of someone stalking them all this time. The thought of being stalked always made her blood run cold..."We're safe though, right?" She looked around for a moment. Her eyes fixed on an extremely tall tree that seemed to reach slightly higher than the wall. She was hit my a great idea, she spun on one foot and faced Dalton and Janin. "I've got an idea, you just look after my things, alright." She threw her bag and hammer to the floor. Without saying another word, Ruby ran for the tree, hoping over dead wood and thorny bushes. She reached out and placed her hands on a root that stuck out of the ground, she hopped up onto it and balanced for a moment. She glanced back at her two friends before looking straight up...This one tree looked like a forest by itself, she felt slightly uneasy but she wasn't going to give up. She began to scramble up the side of the tree and soon she was climbing with skill. She was swinging on some braches and leaping around like being so high off the ground wasn't dangerous.
She eventually came to what seemed to be a half-way mark, there was alot of greenery now, she climbed into the sea of green and vanished from sight.

There was complete silence for an eerie amount of time. Suddenly a loud screach filled the air. It wasn't a person...It sounded like a bird...
"Holy...!!" Ruby flew out of the greenery and straight into the air. She managed to correct herself, she landed on a nearby branch on her feet. The moment she landed, her legs took off and she began to race down the tree, leaping off most of the branches and missing a few in her attempt to escape something.
There was another loud screach and a what looked like a giant birds head emerged from the tree. It turned its head fast, then letting out another loud screach it began to make its way down through the tree branches, ripping alot of the skinnier branches to shreads.
"Dalton! Janin!" She wasn't sure if they had heard her. She felt like an idiot, climbing into a tree in an unknown area. She wasn't especting something so large to come after them but she should have known better. "Run!!" She screamed before getting knocked from a branch and flying to the ground. She hit the floor on her back, not being able to control her fall like last time. The bird was getting closer and she didn't want to get eaten by a giant bird...It wasn't the way she had seen her death, she jumped up with a slight cringe at the pain, she raced towards Dalton and Janin.
"I think...We're in trouble.." She let out a sigh before taking her hammer into both hands.

Dalton sighed... 'Why do I have the feeling that this is going to happen a lot on this trip.' He touched a lever on the underside of his gauntlets releasing two long jagged claws on top of both of his hands. 'Those things look like Rocs... but something isn't right... they look... dead.'

Dalton: These things aren't worth using my sword.

Ruby: Huh?

Dalton: Look at them. Surely you noticed there's something wrong with them.

Ruby looked sharply at Dalton.

Ruby: I was a little preoccupied on my way down.

Janin: He's right. I don't think they're alive.

Dalton jumped on the back of one of the zombie Rocs when it swooped down to attack them. The stench was nearly unbearable. The smell of a rotten carcass filled Daltons nose and burned his eyes. Maggots were swimming in and out of the flesh where he landed.

Dalton: I think I'm going to be sick... I'd better make this one fast.

Dalton thrusted his claws into the birds neck... and to his suprise it had no reaction. He stabbed it again and again and it still did nothing. Out of frustration he finally stabbed it in the back of the neck severing it's head. The giant birds body turned to dust instantly. His only major problem now was how to get back on his feet without dying. In the confusion of his fight with the bird he forgot that it had taken him hundreds of feet high... and he ended it's life at that height.

Dalton: Shit... I didn't think this one through!

That was the impression I got... which is why I made them like rocs...

Ruby watched as Dalton slayed the bird and began his journey to the ground...And what could be the journey to the after-life. She knew that something had to be done to help him. She looked to Janin who seemed to be staring just as much as her, it seemed like neither of them knew what to do. In a situation like this...There was only thing to do:
"DO SOMETHING!!?" Ruby grabbed Janin by his shoulders and began to shake him very hard. "You've got to be able to do something!! RIGHT!?"

Janin thought a few seconds, then concieved a plan of such genius only he could have thought of it.

He used his knife, stabbing Dalton deeply in the right arm, and lowered him at a much slower rate. His arm was badly injured and he was still in danger of dying of blood loss, but there was at least more of a chance for him now.

Ruby: I guess we should get him to a hospital or something. We'll have to come back to this tower later, I guess.

[Miles]

(Sorry o.o I've had a bit of a mental block lately...)

Ruby tore her high collar from her dress, leaving an uneven tear around the bottom of her neck. She knelt down and wrapped it around Daltons arm as tight as possible and then used the clip to keep it tied. "Let's go. We don't have long...We need to get him to a hospital as soon as we can...And same goes for getting out of this forest." She got to her feet. "With one of us injured...Anyone or anything can see that we're a very easy target..." She stopped her. "You can carry him, right?" She looked to Janin, her eyes seeming fearful for the first time in a long time..

Don't post (aside from your char sheet) in here unless you see an opening. For example right now would not be the best time to join in, since your character suddenly stumbling in right now and magically healing Dalton or whatever would be too convenient. Also be sure you've read all the posts so far.

Baka, however, has a golden opportunity right now...

Dalton was injured and weakened at the moment. By looking at his face you could tell that he was pretty pissed.

Dalton: Stop... quit dragging me.

Ruby: But we've got to get you to a...

Dalton: There's a green vial in my pocket. It's filled with a potent liquid made from medicinal herbs. Put that on the wound. This stuff has saved me on more than one occasion... some of them worse than this.

Janin: Good... maybe now we won't have to waste more time going to another village.

Ruby: Do you even care that you nearly killed him.

Dalton: It's fine Ruby... he didn't kill me, but he did save me from death... just in a way that was a lot less comfortable than I'd have liked...

With the medicine on Daltons wounds they decided to spend the rest of the night where they were and continue at dawn.

Ruby lay her bag on the floor then rested her head against it. Her eyes focused on the sky above...Only interested in the stars. It were the red ones that caught her eye. They sparkled like nothing else in the world...If only she could reach up and grab one..."Uuwaah~" She let out a loud yawn and folded her arms to keep herself warm. "If an animal so much as sniffs me while I'm sleeping...Someone will be sorry." She couldn't help but pout. She didn't want animal slobber on her face in the morning. She was used to sleeping inside something but she didn't come prepared, although that wasn't really a problem. Ruby turned to one side, shut her eyes and began her journey to dreamland. "Night, you guys.."

Caspar, now covered in ash and shrapnel from the grenade he threw to close, is upset that noone even came to help him. He was unconsious for about a month. When he awoken he had found he was covered in grass and dirt from time gone.

Caspar needed to find where the other travellers were at. He first went to the local village and asked around if they had seen anyone unusuall. The villagers said that they had seen 3 travellers that looked wierd. They told Caspar that they headed towards some fields, known for bieng infested with Froki. Caspar headed for the feilds and noticed that there were a couple of dead creatures laying about. He knew he was getting close.

He noticed that there was a path for another village in the nearby forest. Caspar went walking for a bit to see if he could find ANY clue as to there where abouts, when he came across a pile of dust that looked as if it was somekind of bird before. Caspar got confused and continued. He was surprissed that he had not come across any creature wanting to kill him. He soon came across what appeared to be dried blood on the path. "I wonder if one of them died yet?" He thought to himself.

Finally, after days of travelling, he had come across the travellers, sleeping right in the open. "I could kill them easily right now, but sadly I need them." Caspar muffled.

He decided to take a seat right next to them, waiting for them to wake up, but that would take hours. Caspar jumped up and lit one of his grenades, this time throwing it as far as he could, hoping the blast would wake them up.

[Swordsman]

-Twist who was walking down the path saw the grenade coming. He'd jump a good fifteen feet in the air and catch the grenade. He'd spin in the air and launch the grenade a good 400ft. into the air. Coming down he would land softly on one foot. His other foot coming down softly also- Damn, people these days. Launching grenades into every direction possible. -A sigh would escape his lips as he walked over to ward the campsite with a frown on his face. He looked at the one whom was awake- Mind not throwing random destructive objects at people? Moron... -He would stand there looking at them. His muscluar build was prominent even through his loose fitting outfit. His icey blue eyes would scan them gently, as his spiked hair ruffled in the wind. Anyone who could sense the spirit energy known as Ki (chi) [Pronounced "Key"] would most likely sense enourmous power seeping from his body. Although more than 75% of his power was hidden within his body. A gust of wind would blow as he waited for the response-

Suddenly, Caspar realized there was a person sleeping on his shoulder. He looked quite puzzled as to how, when, why, who, and what this person was doing on his shoulder.

Twist: Hah, looks like your shoulders are so soft they were mistaken as a pillow!

Caspar: What the hell?

Caspar tries to brush away the sleeping person, but to no avail. He eventually got irritated enough to hit Janin hard, waking him up.

Janin: Uhhh? Oh, sorry, I was sleep-sleeping again wasn't I/ It's kinda like sleepwalking, except...

Caspar: Shut up already!

Meanwhile, Ruby and Dalton stirred from the noises of the shouting and exploding...

Dalton: ugghh... what the hell...

Dalton stood up... still sore from his wounds. They were nearly healed thanks to his remedy but still hurt a bit. When his eyes came into focus he was looking right at Caspar.

Dalton: So you were the one making all that noise back there. What's a military dog like you doing so far away from his leash.

"Well, my injured friend, im out here looking for you. I want you to tell me what you know about the Orb, otherwise you will get this spear in your gut. Got it?" Caspar said cockily as he poked his spear into Daltons gut

Dalton: You're really not the brightest light are you. Threatening to kill the only person here that actually knows how to get what you want. Besides... both of Janin's daggers are hovering by your throat. Killing me right now would be a bad carreer choice.

[Swordsman]

-Using speed only, he seemed to disappear from the view of caspar. He took the ten steps needed to go get within fist's reach. He would appear having stopped running. His fist glowed with energy. As it swing toward him with the force to blow an army tank apart. As the power in his hand grew so did the light blue aura around his body, it became prominent as his fist was about to strike caspar in the chest uuhhHAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

As Caspar was flying back, he twisted a part of his spear, making the spear break apart and shoot out at Twists chest. The spear just slightly cut twist as he dodged the blade.
Caspar then swung the extended spear around him, Hitting Janin's hands, Daltons head, and Rubys legs out from under her.

Caspar quickly pulled his spear back together and pulled out some small bomb like objects. He held them between his fingers as if he was going to throw them.

"Im going to tell you all now, sit down, be calm, and dont anger me. The second someone hits me, these bombs will hit the ground and make one big boom. Now if you dont want your guts on that tree, why dont you just sit down and we will settle this nicely. Ok?

[Swordsman]

-Twist would laugh at him. Man he was funny. He would catch the spear and compact it like a aluminum soda can He would stifle his laugh and look at him- I can blow your body apart without using explosives Care to see how? -He would raise his arm straight out, pointing his idex finger at him. It glowed a a beam of ki was sent toward his chest. It wouldn't go through him. No...it would attach to his body and cause him to levitate toward the sky- WELCOME TO OBLIVION!!!

Caspar was in great pain, he had no idea to get out of the spell. Finally he came up with an idea, hit the source. He would pull out a small marble sized bomb from his belt, and hurled it at Twist, blowing him back and into the tree. The spell quit and Caspar fell to the ground. He quickly regained himself and punched Twist in the face, breaking his nose.

"Dont ever do that again, freak!!" Caspar shouted while pointing at Twist

Caspar pulled out a smoke bomb from his sack and threw it on the ground.
"You will all see me again, I guarentee it!"
Caspar shouted as he dissapeared into the night.

-Although he had been punched it didn't seem to effect him. He looked around to make sure everyone was alright. What an ass, and all these people were ignorant to his plans for them. Just to simply kil them. Seemed he has just joined their traveling party. Maybe he could find some girl to hit on to waste his time...aw well-

Running back to his makeshift post for the time being, Caspar had a couple of his men do some research on this "Twist". Not much was known about him, other than that he was a powerful Ki master and a ruthless killer.

Caspar knew he could not do much for the time being, so he sent out to try to learn as much as he can about Ki.

Dalton: hmm... those military types are all the same. they think they're invincible until they meet someone stronger... then they have no idea how to handle it. Is everyone alright?

Janin: maybe we should kill him if he comes back.

-He smiled looking at all of them, and gave a small chuckle- He thinks ki...is a magic. What a misinformed fool. Hell...he wasn't even a warm up. How depressing. -He would levitate upward and land softly in a tree, where he would stand with his back against the trunk- He should be easy to kill. My broadsword is very useful. Not only can it cut a body in half. But it can also cut the Soul...and the spirit in half. -Yes the spirit and the soul were different. The soul was the being, the spirit was the personallity, the energy of one. He was someone who had enourmous amounts of Ki (Spiritual Energy). The information on ki was only that...spiritual energy- He's got people watching us. Lets just let them move a bit closer. And then we rebel. And I won't talk much...they are probably trying to find my weakness...this could be good...feed them fake info..

Ruby stood there for a moment in total silence. She wasn't sure what to say. Everything had just happened so fast. "Do you have to make so much noise?" She let out a loud yawn before turning to Dalton. "So...Who was that guy?...Did you know him?.." She reached down and grabbed her bag. There had been so much trouble since this adventure started but at least something good had come out of it. Ruby's head turned to Twist "I guess this means there's four of us now...Huh?" She game him a warm and welcoming smile before stepping back to face all of them. She wasn't sure what they were all thinking or what there next move was..."Where do we go from here?.." She tilted her head slightly, not even rembering the direction that they had come from. "You guys know where, right?.."

Caspar has his spies making their way here. Coming from what seems to be every direction. Once they move in close enough...i can take each one out with the spirit sword...-Was he full of himself? Yeah, but he could sense they were only humans with low spirital energy levels. Ha, might be a good time to test the device he had found many a-year ago. He placed a scouter on his ear (kinda like the anal sex sonic sig =D...cept Twist has ears it can sit on), and the green screen began to display information to him.. He looked around slowly...catching 8 human "power levels". Why does it seem he was never given challeneges? Never-the-less, having to kill 8 people within...30 seconds might cause minut wetness upon his brow. He kept the scouter on his eye/ear. He looked forward, it had eight arrows on the screen, pointing to the enemies- Our time for fun should be soon....

The bumpers, are my fists. The ball...is caspar...and his men's heads. I assume i'd have about 9 plays. Unless he brings in the cavalry. Heh Heh -His scouter started beeping at him. To let him know they were coming closer...soon within a striking distance. Wait....the arrows were all gone...and the number fifteen appeared. He looked around....15- 15 people there are now. Makes this one even more intresting. Seems I will have more fun...I guess I lucked out! -He would laugh in an almost maniacal way...although this threat was only pure fun. Well...he put on what seemed to be an imitation super hero voice...something Vash the Stampede would do- Ladies and children stand behind me...I will protect you! Hah hah hah hah hah hah -Wow he could even immitate his weird laugh.-

Caspar had his men spy on Twist and the other travellers. One of them came back and reported that Twist has some sort of devise that allows his to sense "human power". In only one day Caspar had developed a new type of grenade that would disable his sensor.

Caspar travelled back into the field that all the travellers were in and sent a couple of scouts ahead to check everything out. They came back and told Caspar that the one known as Twist was standing there ready to fight. Caspar climbed a tree abouve the 4 travellers and hurled a smoke bomb down on them, making the ones without sensors blind. He then chucked in a "chaff" grenade to disable the sensor that Twist was using.

[Swordsman]

-Twist's light blue aura flared up, a gust of wind shot out from his body, and soon the smoke was all gone- I don't need my scouter to sense you...i can feel you in that tree caspar. -He would levitate to eye level of caspar. And he would chuckle. His body seemed to split into two beings the other being began to attack his ground forces. After a few explosions of ki, and slices of his sword...all caspars men were dead- BOO MOTHA F— -He cut himself off, he rotated his body and sent a knee directly to the man's jaw- That device is only for looks...

Caspar reared back from the knee strick but then he got back up and grabbed thwist by the face. He lifted him above his head and rotated his body, slamming Twist into the tree. Out of nowhere, some sort of energy came out of Twists head and into Caspars hand. He did this for about 10 seconds, feeling like it was enough energy for the moment.

"Ive learned a bit from our last battle. I travelled around a bit until I found a chi master hidden in the mountains to the north. He taught me a couple of tricks, including chi steal."

Caspar said as he threw Twist into the air. As he was in the air, Caspar harness energy into his right fist and let Twist fall into eye level. When Twist was within reach, Caspar punched him in the gut, making him fly into the middle of the field.

[Swordsman]

-Twist would grab his hand and chuckle, taking the ki back...as his split half became one again. He better explain now...before he thinks he's superior- My body contains enough ki, for your body to blow apart from the inside. Destroying...about a 30 mile radius around you. Later..-He would step back, and open his palm...and in a split second...a ki blast big enough to engulf his body 30 times over began to make the 2 foot long distance before it might engulf his body. The blast itself had enough energy....to completely tear him apart leaving not one molecule left-

Mere moments Before the blast would hit Caspar, He slashed his arms upwards, harnessing energy around him. The blast appeared to hit Caspar, but when the dust dissipated, Caspar was standing there. His energy had protected him from Twists pathetic blast. Caspar stood there in a type of battle pose with a new spear. But this spear was differant. Its tip was missing, but actually it was shot off like the last one, except this one hit straight into Twists chest.

[Swordsman]

-The spear would go through him almost like a ghost...and then the area got quiet. Not one sound was heard in the forest..trees didn't seem to move. The wind seemed to stop in its place-

Caspar stood there waiting for Twist to make his move. He watched Twists hands, his shoulders, and his legs, waiting for them to attack. Then Caspar would make his attack.

(Holy hell you people are moving fast... I need to get more active now that you two are active as well... And I'd point out the blatant DBZ rip if it weren't so blatantly blatant.)

Janin: Hmm... Hmm... Hmm...

He turns to Dalton.

Janin: Shall we go then?

Caspar: What?! You can't go!

Janin: I wouldn't think we are needed here, the pin and his bumper seem to be having enough fun without us.

Ruby: But don't you want to see how this turns out?

Janin: *blinks* I guess not, I'm not the curious type.

Ruby: I'd say you're curious alright..

Dalton: Hmm... if you want to stay and watch them kill each other it's fine with me, but I'm leaving. If you want to finish this trip and actually get into the wasteland you should probably come with me.

-He was gone...now down on the ground standing with the others...He would stretch and look up at Caspar- Its been fun...nice partial warm up. -He would look at the others...then thought for a moment- Well...I never really was invited into your group...and I have no idea where you are all ofto. Unless there is some objection...I will go my own way...

Bio: Known as the best magician in the known world. Has learned to duplicate opponents moves in one way or another. Was thought to have been killed years ago by Draven, but survived and trained vigorosly for 10 years for vengence.

(I wasn't, Janin IS my character, and for the rest I didn't have them do much. I simply have other characters do minor things that I think they would do so that the RP doesn't drag out. I may try to change this if it seems appropriate though.

The note read "If you dont remember me, you will. Meet me at the village bridge in 3 days, if you wish to learn of your past."

"Well, I really must be off for now. So many more things to do." Devion said as he ran off, dissapearing in the horizon.

Dalton: Someone's got a lot of nerve... If whoever threw this was here to throw it, he should have told me what he had to say then.

When Dalton opened the note his heart nearly stopped. At the top of it there was a symbol... the same one that was tattooed on his chest. He didn't know their meaning, but he did know that they'd have something to do with remembering his past.

Dalton: w... we've got to stay here. if you want to continue without me go ahead... but you won't make it far into the desert without me. whoever threw this dart knows something about my past. I have to stay and find out who it is... and the information I can get.

Ruby turned to Dalton. "We're not leaving without you! Right, Janin?" She shot a fist up in the air. "We're in this together!" She thought for a moment...Wondering what their next move would be. She gave her team-mates a curious look, wanting to know if they had any plans. "So, we need to fing this guy...Right?" She blinked for a moment, her eyes going blank. "How exactly do we go about this?..You must have an idea, Dalton." Her eyes shifted to him, waiting for an answer. He must have some idea of what to do...Either that or they were going to make it all up as they went along...It was always fun to do that but it always seemed to cause trouble when anyone decided to go for it. Ruby perched herself on a fallen tree and waited for some form of a reply from her friends.

Dalton: Whoever it was didn't give us much of a choice. All the note said was meet him at the bridge in 3 days. If it wasn't for this I'd rather keep going... but this will give me a chance to let my wounds finish healing.

Dalton turned to Twist and looked him over. With all the chaos going on earlier he never really paid him any mind.

Dalton: To answer your question from earlier Twist... we're heading to the desert region. We're trying to find an orb called the Khalis.

-Twist had been perched on the roof watching Devion, as Devion sat on the wall. Using simple telekinesis, he bent light around him to make him seem invisible. But he was in truth there...only a person whom had a device, or could sense ki would know. He was surprised...they were all supposed to show a good hour ago. Hmm... He would stand, and the 'kinesis would shift itself...to rebend the light to keep him invisible. Although the bend in light, wouldn't be seen by anyone-

"We don't need to kill him...Unless he starts something." Ruby folded her arms and began to tap her foot in frustration. She really wanted to know what this guy had to say...Everything had been so mysterious since this adventure had started...Even what they were searching for was covered by some great cloud of mystery. She looked to Janin and then to Dalton, a thick silence filling the air around them.

"Where is he!!" Dalton thought. He was still pacing back and forth but quickly stopped, getting this chill in his spine. He felt something in the trees was watching him. He pulled out a knife from his sheath, and hurled it at one of the bigger tree limbs, killing the large spider that was crawling on it instantly. He looked at the tree somemore for a while, watching, waiting for something to move, but he was inturupted when he saw a human figure in the distance. "Finally!!" Devion walked into the middle of the bridge to greet his guest, only to find it was a random villager. The villager looked at him oddly, wondering why someone is dressed like that. Devion motioned his hands as if he were making fun of the villager. Devion looked back at the horizon, just to see nothing again. "I should have just talked to him at the plains when I had the chance, but nooooo, you had to go gamble and pick up whores!" Devion cursed at himself while starting to pace back and forth, waiting again.

Dalton turned to Janin and Ruby... who were both bored out of their minds.

Dalton: I guess I should go meet whoever it is. You two can trail me if you want... but if something goes wrong I can probably handle it alone.

Janin: Like you handled the bird.

Dalton glared at Janin and kind of smirked a little.

Dalton: Heh... I've made it through worse. I should be fine.

Ruby: I'd say... your whole body is like one big scar.

Janin: Yeah, he's taken quite a few losses in his day.

Dalton: Funny thing is... I can't remember how I got nearly all of these. I've got to see whoever left that note. I'm going now.

Dalton left the two of them there. They were a little hesitant at first but they ended up following him at a distance. Dalton didn't know if they were actually comming to help if he needed it or if they were going to hear the tale of his tragic past.

Dalton approached the bridge. He got an eerie chill down his spine. He sensed a kind of magic that he hadn't felt in a long time.

Ruby looked to Janin. "Aren't you worried?" She couldn't help but blink and give a clueless expression. He had this look about him that seemed to give her the feeling that he was rather emotionless at this point in time. It felt as if everyone was a danger...Something in the air didn't feel right. She couldn't help but feel that this meeting would end badly. They all knew that they had to go through with it but it still didn't feel right. "The sooner we get out of here...The better..." She let out under her breath. She stopped by the bridge and watched...Waiting for whatever was about to happen.

-Twist still bent the light around him waiting for the whole situation to go down. It would most likely be uneventful. He would gently close his eyes and let the whole situation unfold using his hearing, and his refined sensory...he handn't name it...he just called it his sixth sense. Wait..he pulled out his scouter and set it on his ear..and turned it on....1500? This Devion seemed to have the spiritual energy level a good 1485 points higher than a human...how, intresting-

Ruby raised a brow and folded her arms. "What are you talking about?" Her unsure look so became a worried one. "Did I miss something?"

Janin: I mean, we're going after him!

"oh, right! Gotcha!" Her face turned red, she felt like an idiot. "Uh...After you?" She readied herself for whatever would lie ahead from this moment on. She wasn't sure if it was a good plan or not but they were all in this together. She wasn't about to let them wonder off without her...That's not what friends did. "I really have a bad feeling about this..."

I know you're there, Dalton thought to himself. He couldn't see whoever it was that was waiting for him... but he could certainly feel him. It was one of his unusual powers... being able to sense the energy or 'spirit' of people around him. It was another part of his past he wanted answers to.

Dalton: I know you're there.

Dalton said pointing directly where he was hiding.

If you don't want to speak with me I'll leave. I've got much more important things to do than waste my time on someone playing hide and seek.

-his chi (ki) would die down, and the light would reflect off his body. The orange, and blues of his uniform touching the cones on his retina first. He stood there motionless looking down upon the man. He'd grin a bit, or was it a smirk? Was hard to tell with him- Hide and seek is for children....I was just waiting for what was supposed to happen here. But it seems you other half, the one whom you were to meet hasm't shown. How disappointing?

Dalton sighed...

Dalton: I know... I was hoping maybe you'd be him. You've been perched up there for a while I'm guessing. You haven't seen anyone unusual around have you... except for us that is.

(Sorry for the God-mode, but Hadazamui is gone for a while, so it would be best to remove him from the game for a while. I don't think he'll protest when he gets back, especially with the way I did it.)

Janin arrived at the bridge they were supposed to be fighting it out at, only to find a note pinned to the handrail of the bridge with a dagger. It read:

"You're a coward Dalton. You could not even show your face after what you did to me, could you? I have better things to do than to wait around here for years for you. I'll have my revenge someday though!

-Devion"

Janin: ...This isn't a bad dagger... what a fool!

Janin unsheathed the dagger from the wooden rail and kept it in has pocket for later. He and Ruby then saw Dalton conversing with some shadows on the rooftops, and made their way there...

Dalton: Oh... you guys caught up with me. Hmm... what's that note.

Janin hands Dalton the note... Dalton reads it then throws it to the ground.

Dalton: So... that spoiled brat has decided he's man enough to challenge me.

Janin and Ruby looked puzzled. Dalton explained that Devion was a boy when he saw him last. He was the son of a man that died in the unintentional massacre caused by Dalton years ago.

Dalton: I knew the past would catch up with me sooner or later... but I doubt this boy will be the one that will make me pay for my sins. We should start moving again... we've already wasted enough time on this nonsense. Something told me not to stop... but I had to know if it was someone that knew me from before I lost my memory. At least now we know we'll indefinately be attacked by Devion. Probably sometime soon... although if he missed us when we were all standing right here he might not ever find us. It did happen 10 years ago... maybe he didn't recognize me.

Dalton looked up at the stealthy one still pearched in the tree...

Dalton: So... what will you do now. Are you going to keep quietly observing things... or would you like to join us. We could definately use someone with skills like yours.

The way I see it, it's YOUR character, and nobody but you would know how your character would act in certain situations or what they would say. Having someone else make actions for your character doesn't seem right, to me, and was why I ultimaely stopped posting here. )

(Right, I'm trying to break out of that habit that I learned at Gamewinners. I hated it too at first but had to adjust. Swordsman has been REALLY pissed that I use that format. In any case, let's not play this thread for a while, see if others come back or not.)

yeah... the only time it's acceptable is when you give someone permission to do that for the sake of the story moving on... like I did with Yvl earlier.
