So um... first off... how did Vader know Luke was his son if Palpatine told him he killed his wife right there? I'm guessing the force, but wouldn't it not work since luke had a strong mind, difficult to read?
And... did anyone really buy into the sudden change in Anakin? I always thought the first few cold-blooded kills were somewhat... painful? But he killed all those younglings without an ounce of pain in his eyes. Bad acting perhaps?
And for the record, I'm not a fanboy, I'm just too observant for my own good.
Your thoughts?

my thoughts? hayden rivals dicaprio for most wooden actor award :P
Seriously tho i kinda laughed when he started killing ppl cuz he had this whole 'oh no i killed master windu, what makes me think i could just kill sidius right there, nah better not and swear allegience before acting like a bollywoodwashout'
Granted we knew there was gonna be a massacre, and that anakin was gonna be involved in it anyway i think it was just poorly done how he did it. That and Windu being the playa hater he is talked too much smack instead of just ending it.

You think way too much o.o;; I thought it was good. Fair enough, some of it was laughable...The bit that made me laugh was at the end when Vader was all "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooo~"
I laughed so hard that I started crying.
But still, I thought it was good...And as for Anakin suddenly changing...I saw him slowly warping through-out the whole movie...Like his outbursts of anger...His confusion and so on. To me it wasn't "Sudden" ...I thought It was quite slow and done quite well...But then, I'm not really "in" to movies...I just watched and enjoyed.

the only times anakin really 'showed' he was turning was with dooku, padme and windu, and even then it was more evil glares with with his vibrating forehead. The movie itself was nicely done with the jedi executions and the progression of technology designs did link with the 4th movie. All i said was that hayden cant act his way out of a paper bag that isnt really there.

Ditto. He over and underacts everything at the same time. Even though his acting was slightly better than in ep2 it was still pretty bad. His dialogue didn't carry much if any impact in a lot of the crucial scenes. I don't know what Lucas was thinking when he casted him... everyone hated him... then re casts him to do ep3.
and about Mace Windu... his Jedi power was kind of called into question for me. Shouldn't he have known that Anakin was going to attack him right before he did it. The force is supposed to give you a great intuition about everything happening around you... A legendary Jedi like him should have seen it comming.

hard to see the dark side is mmmmm
Anyway yoda expresses that the darkside is hard to see in people because its basically emotions that everyone but jedi express. So in saying that windu shoulda seen it commin is like saying a persons supposed to find an angry man who will kill in a planet full of angry people, not as easy as it sounds as even the jedi were hoodwinked when they were eradicated *a sad moment indeed*
In saying that tho all the 'you were the chosen one, youre meant to bring balance to the force' If any jedi truely believed the force was balanced then they have suffered severe brain damage. So perhaps Windu didnt see anakins betrayal because he didnt believe that anakin was the chosen one, because if anakin was percieved as the chosen one by all the jedi council instead of just obiwan then maybe they woulda killed him saying 'joor gonna lead to our destruction as an order so die fooo'
Starwars Episode 7: The bitch is back
Lea nabs a lightsabre and goes around all rambo like cuz luke is still alive and the force is out of balance.

that's true and all... but he was standing right there. on top of that Mace really didn't trust Anakin all that much.
about the chosen one thing... he still is the chosen. just not like they'd hoped he'd be. he does destroy the sith, including himself. :P

I thought the sudden change was because Anakin had become Darth Vader, he had officially gone to the dark side. Once he's evil, may as well go all the way evil. Also, he believed that it was the only way to save his wife's life.
Another loophole I found, and a friend found it too, is that in the Return of the Jedi, Luke asks Lea about their mother...she says she remembers her, that she was very kind. But in the Revenge of the Sith, Padme dies right after giving birth. I guess her adopted parents told her stories about Padme or something/

Yes most probably the organa family told lea of padme since they were both senators.
and no no no NO LATH NO
Anakin 'destroyed' the jedi leaving it as a balanced force.
Sith: Sidius, Vader
Jedi: Yoda, Obiwan
At the end of a new hope i think it is yoda exclaims (after bens death) ' no there is another referring to lea, he then carks it leaving still.
Sith: Sidius, Vader
Jedi: Luke, Lea
NOW after all the hoohah went down and anakin said 'omfg my children, die sidius' the balance was disrupyed once again.
Sith: none
Jedi: Luke, Lea
During the old republic era, the reason the jedi got pwnd was because there was only ever 2 sith and many jedi.
Sidius, Maul
Sidius, Dooku
Sidius, Greivus (if you wanna count him as one lol)
Sidius, Vader
even the main 3 in Obiwan, yoda, Windu throw off the balance at any one time. Thus the force is never actually in balance until after the purge and the empire is started. All Anakin does is throw off the balance, he is a chaotic being who brings unbalance.

the balance that the prophecy was talking about was a one sided Jedi only balance though. :hmm
